May 16–AWL VOLUNTEER DAY: Our next volunteer day at the Animal Welfare League’s Intake Facility (AWL) is this Friday, May 16, 2014, 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Their address is 6224 South Wabash. If we have enough volunteers, we may be able to arrange for car pooling. Let us know soon if you’d like to join us! At this time, we have room for 10 volunteers. If you can’t make the visit, you can drop off donations (newspaper, used (clean) towels, bleach, dish detergent, paper towels, pet toys, food and treats) at Parker’s Pets on 1342 E 55th St Chicago, IL 60615 (773) 643-7387, and we will make sure that the items get to AWL.

May 31–ADOPTION EVENT: Our next adoption event will be at Kriser’s on Saturday May 31st, 12-3pm. The address is 1103 S State St, Chicago, IL 60605, not far from the Trader Joe’s on Roosevelt. HPC volunteers will be there with adoptable cats and/or kittens to answer questions and provide application forms as well as information about adopting, fostering, and volunteering.
