We first learned of Marqui in early June, when we got a Facebook message about a cat who had befriended a Safe Passage worker.

He was homeless and seemed ill.

It was a while before any volunteers were able to help but when we could we scooped Marqui up and took him to the vet.

He came to us with very severe GI issues which seem to have been plaguing him for a while.

Meds helped at first but we are now treating it with diet – he is on raw food and goat’s milk and responding well.

We are hopeful that this sweet little guy will make a full recovery and we predict that he will look gorgeous when that day comes.
