Callie (calico) and Riley (tabby)

This adorable duo was rescued from outdoors during TNR work, so no Chicago winter for these guys! They are fully vetted and ready to be scooped up.

Their fosterer reports in a recent update: “Callie Drake and Riley are a super sweet pair that are slowly coming out of their shell after becoming adjusted to indoor life. They curiously follow me and my husband around when we get ready in the morning, prepare food in the kitchen, or clean out the litter box. They have even woken us up on occasion by playing bop-the-mysterious- foot-shaped-mounds-under-the-covers!

Callie Drake is often the leader for exploring new spaces and activities so I like to say she is the “nosey” one. Riley is more reserved but will assert himself once he sees how much fun a game is! Riley is open to being pet and touched while eating but Callie is still a bit suspicious. They may hide if startled but no worries, a few flicks of their beloved wand toy and they’ve forgotten their fear for the sake of catching that mouse tail!”
