Ebony is an affectionate cat who enjoys humans on her own terms. She LOVES to be petted but does not enjoy being picked up. Thus far she shows no interest in being a lap cat.

Ebony’s fosterer writes: “Quick update on Ebony, aka Panther. This cat is such a doll. She is literally around my ankles any time I’m standing up or walking, begging for pets.

She doesn’t join us on the couch, but flops down nearby, and plays with toys a lot on her own in addition to *loving* the laser pointer. She comes running any time I enter the house, and is pretty much near me other than in bed or the shower. She is learning to use a scratcher, too.

She is just a love bug. And building confidence all the time – a friend of mine was over the other day, and Ebony did actually come out and say hi for a minute, not just hiding under the couch.”
