Rowan is a female, about 1 year old as of spring 2019, who loves all kinds of toys and playing, and her favorites are the feather toy and stuffed mouse-shaped things. As a young, semi-shy adult, we would prefer to see her adopted into a home with another cat, a great source of companionship and confidence!

She has a ton of energy and is good at playing by herself. She’ll never pass up an athletic game of parkour… er… feather wand. She’ll even share the game with other cats.

Rowan gets along great with her foster brothers and would do best in a quiet household with at least one other friendly cat or kitten. She’s a world-class cuddler with other cats, but is still human-shy. She doesn’t sit on laps or allow herself to be picked up. She tolerates short petting sessions and is starting to think humans aren’t so bad, but she does keep her distance from people if they’re moving around or if they look like they might be about to move around. If you’re settled in on the couch for a Netflix binge, though, she’ll be nearby to watch with you. She knows her name and comes when she’s called, ’cause she knows you’ll have treats or playtime for her.

She’s a polite and quiet girl, never any hissing or scratching, and has great litter box habits. Rowan is a joy to have around, and with a lot of patience and gentle encouragement she should become a lovely, confident companion for some lucky human.
