1-year-old Elise is small but pulls several times her weight in cuddliness, energy, and curiosity. She is not shy and comes headbutting any amenable human for petting and head scratching. She loves head scratches so much that if you remove your hand, she rears up on her hind legs like a little horse so that her head follows your hand. She sits on laps happily. Do not do Zoom calls in the same room as Elise, unless the purpose of your call is exactly to show her off to your friends.
She’s also a smart cookie! When she encountered the rare food item that she didn’t like (ew, duck!), she dragged a nearby dish towel over the food bowl to cover up the yucky smell. She’s not a cat that wakes you up at night, happily spending the night quietly curled up in a corner of the bed and respecting her human’s sleep.
She is very good at playing soccer with anything that rolls or slides. She is also very good at getting her small body onto any climbable tall thing and into every nook and cranny.
Elise’s foster human believes she would be most happy in a home with more than one pair of human hands that can pet and play with her, and a decent amount of space to run around. This otherwise supremely adorable kitty has so far proven aggressive towards the timid resident cat; it remains to be seen if she will come round given more time and careful integration.
