3-year-old Rogue – aka Rogi Pierogi – grew up in a hoarding situation, and when his person died, he was taken to the shelter, where he was very stressed. But after a few weeks in his foster home, Rogue went from scaredy cat to candy-sweet, kissy-face love bug.
He is a gentle and chatty fellow who loves to be near his foster mom, sometimes just sitting next to her, sometimes spooning with her, taking head scratches and kisses, and chin and belly rubs. He loves to sleep by her head and he also loves to be held, and just relaxes into his foster mom’s arms when she picks him up. Rogue recently showed he was okay with strangers, too, when he introduced himself to guests, going around the room to say hello – especially to all the women (because he is a Rogue, after all).
With the resident cats, Rogi is gentle and deferential; he is also playful and loves to zoom around with his younger foster sibling Benny. Rogue may look like an old man, but he’s only 2-3 years old, so he’s got a lot of spunk in him. He’s also very clever: he discovered how to turn on the bed lamp when he wants to get his foster mom up for breakfast in the morning. And when she turns it off, he turns it back on and then gently nibbles on her hair and coos in her ear.
Rogue would do well with his foster sibling Benny (who is also an adoptable), or with younger resident cat who wants a playmate and cuddle buddy. He’d also do well with a human who loves a feline cuddle buddy and who doesn’t mind when he offers a helping paw at the laptop.
