The gooseberry eyes draw you in. You gently extend your hand for him to sniff and Baxter greets you with a butt, headbutt to the hand that is, inviting all the pets. Things are just getting started. Motor engaged, the purrs rev up as the biscuit making begins. This is a typical first meeting with Baxter for friends who have visited him in foster mum’s home. Welcoming and endearing, that’s our guy.

Baxter has seen some things in his days. Survival mode is behind him. He’s all about close, lap-adjacent snugs and the land of nod. Baxter will get his play on too. Generally this affable, FIV+, 9-year old is about hanging out and relaxing with you and yours. He’s lived with cats and does fine solo. All he really needs is you to welcome him to forever.
