Over Thanksgiving break, LKF (aka Midgy) went to a temporary foster home. Her Thanksgiving foster mom reports
I will really miss her!
Midgy is the sort of cat who might get overlooked by people looking to adopt, because she comes off as shy or skittish at first. As a temporary foster, I got to see what it was like to have her in my home for a week, and it was a delight! I hope somebody will see what a wonderful cat she is and give her a nice, warm forever home.
For the first 24 hours, Midgy was scared and hid under my couch. The next day, she started coming out every once in a while, but she hid when there were loud noises. After 2 days, the real Midgy came out, and she turned out to have a heart of gold. We had a wonderful Thanskgiving together, and I am so sad to see her go.
Midgy is super friendly and loves to snuggle up to you. She asks for head scratchings, comes up to ‘talk’ with you and generally loves attention. She does not like to be picked up, but she comes to sit on your lap and lie there comfortably for hours while you read or watch TV. Even when she is not on you, she likes to be near you, and she has slept in about every place imaginable: on a footstool, on the floor under the radiator, on the desk, on the bed, on the couch, on the floor under the dining table. Besides sleeping, her biggest loves are eating and snuggling, though her occasional playing is also very fun to watch. She likes batting at small objects, such as her little mouse toy that she carries around (she even left it on my bed as a present when I was sleeping!), or whatever object is close to her when the mood strikes (see picture).
Midgy has big beautiful green eyes that have probably seen a lot of the world, but mostly they are looking for a nice, warm, cozy place to call home, and some humans to feed and snuggle her and share her general relaxed and hedonistic lifestyle.
