***Meet Cherry at Parker’s a natural dog and cat market in Hyde Park, 1342 East 55th Street
Beautiful, friendly Cherry is one of our newest intakes. We have been waiting for space to open up in our foster program so that we could help this pretty 1-year-old calico and thanks to our friends at Parker’s, we are able to admit her this weekend (April 27th).
Cherry comes to us from Chicago TNR, a fabulous rescue dedicated to TNRing and helping strays and friendlies on the south side. Locals say Cherry was left behind when a tenant moved away. She was going door to door, seeking help. While on the street this winter, Cherry got frostbite and lost some of her ears.
But she is now in good health and has been fully vetted. She likes to be brushed.and asks for affection. Cherry is talkative at times, a mild cat.
She was warming to the other cats in her foster home but does not like dogs. She has good litter box habits and a good appetite.
