Feeding Ferals in the Snow

photo (17)

Our volunteers braved the snow, wind, and general blizzard conditions on Saturday to bring food to feral cat colonies. The kitties will need double rations to survive the extreme freezing temperatures.

We also provide winter shelters for ferals (see above) padded with straw and other insulation. This helps keep them out of the elements.

If you can donate to help feed feral colonies, or to help us buy winter shelters it would be very much appreciated, by us and the kitties.

To donate via our paypal account, click on the gold paw in the upper right hand side of this page. We also take donations of food, toys, litter, etc. Either message us or leave donated items at the donation bin at Parker’s, a Natural Dog & Cat Market, this bin is for both dog and cat rescues.

Stay warm everyone!

Couscous is keeping toasty warm this weekend, hopes you are too

photo (18)

Couscous is one of our newest intakes, this adorable kitten was rescued on a very very cold night just before the end of the year. HPC volunteers heard about a single, friendly kitten in an alley in Hyde Park, and they braved the cold to coax this little gal into a trap. (She is friendly but was scared). She is now safe and warm inside and doing great.

If you are interested in adopting Couscous, please contact us at hydeparkcatsadoptions@gmail.com
