TNR Friendlies

IMG_2887

With the coming of warmer weather, volunteers have resumed TNRing, or trap, neuter, return, the humane way to help local feral cat populations and reduce the number of kittens born on the street. As is so often the case, this often involves taking in friendly strays. Last week a volunteer trapped Julius who will be placed in a foster home soon.

He was very dirty and showed signs of having been on the streets for a long time, including scabs and scars. In these cases we always make an effort to determine if friendly ferals are lost or have former owners looking for them, as we love putting cats back in loving homes. In the meantime he is safe, already cleaning up beautifully, and is quite friendly.
