This past weekend our small but trusty TNR team (Leslie and Susan with thanks to Mitch for transport) trapped Vernon and Rose, a pair of adult cats. They took them to Paws, and got them fully vetted, keeping them safe pre- and post- surgery. This was all done with the co-operation of their carers who contacted us looking for help.
There are also 3 kittens who need our help – they are on our waiting list for foster space.
You can see how happy the trio was to have their mama back. And they will be her last set of homeless kittens – hooray!
We get many requests for TNR help but have very few volunteers on this side of our important work. If you can help in any way – gathering intell from the people who reach out to us; doing site visits; helping with transport to and from sites and to Paws, or overnighting cats in traps pre- and post-surgery, we’d love to hear from you: hydeparkcatsadoptions@gmail.com
Or if you can donate to this worthy cause, please do, as we use donated funds to get all the cats vetted and chipped. This important work not only improves the quality and duration of life for feral cats but also reduces shelter killings.
And in case you are wondering, Rose and Vernon will continue to be fed and they have winter shelter. Watch this space for info on their kittens.
