Josephine Baker update!

JB (or Koshka as her fosterers have been calling her) continues to become more and more trusting and is becoming a snuggly lap cat.  She is also really playful and has a lot of energy when she gets going.  She leaps after balls on strings and her ‘cat dancer’ and regularly vanquishes her stuffed mice and any socks that may have been left on the floor.

While she’s really coming out of her shell in some ways, she is skittish around strangers and mostly hides when there are new people in the house.  We think she’ll need to go to a home with people who will give her time to adjust on her own schedule since she’s very much her own cat and really wants to come to you on her own terms and in her own time.

All in all, she’s a super cat and would make a really great pet for anyone who is willing allow her the time and space to relax and adjust. Write to us at hydeparkcatsadoptions@gmail.com to meet her!

Jade loves the sun, Emma loves the rain

**We are adoption pending!**

These two would be the perfect pair. Jade (black) and Emma (calico kitten) had never met before we placed them together in a foster home and now they great along great and keep each other company. Write to us at hydeparkcatsadoptions@gmail.com to meet them. This foster pair can be adopted together or separately.

Their fosterer writes of their lovely, complementary personalities:

Emma (calico) is very playful, curious, and into everything. She is young, well under 1 year old. She likes to watch water, whether it’s the shower the toilet or the rain. She loves, loves, loves, loves, loves her ball and will actually carry it around most of the time. The squirrels on the back porch fascinate her, and she will run from window to window to get a better view. She’s not a talker it all, however she has the cutest little peep of a meow. She is still a bit timid of new things sounds and people. But once she gets to know you, she’s sweet as pie.

Jade (black) is super chill. She was estimated by the vet to be 2-3 years old. Occasionally she will play with a toy or two, or even Emma, but generally she likes to cat nap and follow the sun most of the day. She’s not a cuddly cat, nor does she try to be underfoot, but she is always nearby keeping an eye on her fosterer. Loud noises, visitors, and even vacuuming don’t faze Jade in the least.
