***We are adoption pending!***
Although they had never met before joining their foster home, Boots (right) and kitten Bowie (left) became fast friends. While they can be adopted separately, it would be wonderful to see these tabby loves find a home together! Write to us at hydeparkcatsadoptions@gmail.com to meet them.
Their fosterer tells us: “Bowie (above, lighter grey tabby) is a very gentle, cuddly, gangly kitten with a heart of gold. He’s pretty calm for a kitten, and extremely gentle. He totally worships Boots, and they wrestle sometimes and cuddle other times, keeping each other warm and entertained. Bowie loves toys of every kind, especially any kind of string toy. He’s a big fan of curling his little body up on my chest when I’m lying on the couch, purring disproportionately loudly and looking up at me adoringly. He was very skittish when we first got him so he’ll need some patience with a move, but has calmed down immensely, and Boots’s example really pulls him out of his shell — he’ll literally look at Boots to see whether he should be scared of something new. If you really get him purring, sometimes he closes his eyes and drools a little.”
“Boots (above) is a soft, gorgeous character—a very special cat. I really adore him. He looks like a wildcat but acts like a big nerd. He loves being carried around, is extremely outgoing with visitors and friends, but is still really loyal to his person. He’s always curious, and very, very intelligent — it really feels like you have a little fuzzy person in the house, always interacting with you and picking up your social cues! He’s very food-motivated and would be very easy to clicker-train, I think (though I haven’t tried). He’s so happy to see me when I get home from work, and just falls all over himself with love when I wake up in the morning. He also loves other cats, especially Bowie, and would probably do very well with dogs as well, and would love a boisterous household. He has a lot of energy, but Bowie helps keep it in check.”
