Kitten Bubbles loves to purr, play

Petals was a lone cat making her way at a strip mall on the South Side of Chicago with a Rent-A-Center store and a Little Caesar’s pizza joint. Her life got better when an overnight security guard started putting out food for her. Petals would hide out until her friend’s shift started at 10 p.m. and then come out to be brushed and fed.

A few weeks ago, the guard called Hyde Park Cats and asked for help getting Petals spayed. Then she got a new job, which meant she wouldn’t be there to feed Petals anymore. With the guard’s help, Hyde Park Cats volunteers trapped Petals last week and she is making a fast recovery from her surgery.Petals, who is very friendly and loves to be brushed, is now looking for her forever home.
