**Update: we are all adoption pending!**

Here are updated pictures of Daisy (orange) and her kittens. They are super adorable, and have come such a long way from when they first got here and were barely crawling! Sparky is the cream male, Skye is the tortie, Rosebud is the calico with orange on her head, and Briar is the calico with black on her head.

As for mama cat Daisy, she is very cuddly and sweet. Her age was estimated to be 8-9 months old, so she is still quite a kitten herself.  She has been an attentive and caring mother, and still responds if one of them cries during play.  Mostly she is just a sweet cuddly girl who seeks out a nice lap for some quiet attention.  She is also playful and allows the kittens to play with her tail. She is a purr machine!

Finally, all of them are litterbox pros and tolerate nail clipping well.

Mama and the four young ones all need homes — let us know if you paw-sibly (sorry) would like to meet them at hydeparkcatsadoptions@gmail.com !

Foster home needed! Cupie

On Thursday morning this message landed in our Facebook mail:

“just wanted to say that I saw a small grey and white kitten in the parking lot of Dunkin Donuts last night. He was quite skittish and ran away as soon as people approached. I’m not sure what to do but I wanted to let you know. Thanks! It was chewing on wood chips yesterday so im not sure if it has access to actual food”

A volunteer went that night to search for the cat but had no luck.

Sunday night we got this message:

“I just saw a small grey and white cat (maybe a kitten?) in the bushes at 53 and Dorchester (behind the Obama stone). it seemed shy and hid further in the bushes when I tried to approach it. I can’t take it home or stay here, but wanted to let you guys know in case there was something you could do.”

A volunteer went around, saw the cat, coaxed it into a trap but the cat got out. At least its belly was full.

Monday night another volunteer went back and hey presto.

Welcome to HPC little one.

This cat is safe, fed, warm and loved in an emergency foster home but we have nowhere for him. Please foster for us or recruit fosterers so that we can save lives like this one!
