Roxy Rising

roxy-3 roxy2

Roxy’s fosterers moved away last summer, but they recently wrote to tell us that they would have adopter her had they stayed, they adored her so much! Here is their account of why Roxy is a special cat! She is now in a new foster home. To meet her, write to us at hydeparkcatsadoptions@gmail.com

“When Roxy first arrived in our home she was in a lot of pain, but she never bit or scratched. Even though she was very uncomfortable, she sought out attention and was affectionate. After her quick recovery, she was very sweet and affectionate. She would run up to the front door when she heard it unlocking to rub against my leg and purr. She would join me on the couch while I was there, and enjoyed cuddling in bed. She is very curious and loved to explore every nook of the apartment. On hot days she would lay behind my head on the top of my office chair with her legs dangling below her looking very silly.

Had I been staying in Chicago I would have adopted her: she is gentle, cute, and friendly. On our last day together, she was resting on the bed and started purring when I woke her up. Even though it took a few tries for me to get her in her carrier, she never got angry or aggressive, she only wanted me to pet her away from the carrier. I was so impressed with her trust and kindness. Roxy is a great, friendly cat who will fit in well in a loving home.”

More on adoptable Nelly

nelly-1 nelly-2

Nelly started out very shy and delicate, but has been coming out of her shell more and more everyday. She is getting up the courage to jump on windowsills and do some exploring.

Most importantly, Nelly can never get enough scratches and now that she is getting comfortable, she isn’t afraid to ask! She’ll come right over, softly meow, and fall over for rubs on her belly and behind her ears.

This beautiful kitty is a delight! To meet her, write to us at hydeparkcatsadoptions@gmail.com
