We are delighted to announce the arrival of Rambutan aka Chom Chom into our program. Less than a year old, she was surrendered by her owners to an open access shelter in southern IL.

Chom Chom has a rare, but very treatable, condition called pododermetitis, colloquially known as pillow foot. With time and medication, they will return to normal. We’ll post regular updates on her progress. HPC has experience with this condition, so when we learned that she needed rescue, we raised a paw to help her and bring her north.

Welcome Chom Chom. We look forward to working with you and finding you a loving forever home.
