Miss Maeve has been fully vetted and was estimated to be about 6 months old, which was our guess too. So she is adoption ready, hooray!

Anyone in Chicago can catch the Chicago premiere of the new documentary, THE CAT RESCUERS, at the Gene Siskel @filmcenter 9/27 – 10/3.
“Cats rule the streets of New York City, approximately 500,000 of them homeless and increasing by leaps and bounds, according to this feline-centric documentary following the self-funded efforts of Sassee, Claire, Stu, and Tara, dedicated volunteers who roam the haunts of feral and abandoned cats, offering food and a helping paw. Filmmakers Fruchtman and Lawrence relate the individual stories of these rescuers—variously, a legal investigator, an artist, a fire department technician, and a nurse—as they pursue their wily quarries with the humane strategy of TNR (trap-neuter-release). While scores of the felines were born feral and resistant to contact, many are pets that were cruelly ditched to fend for themselves by former owners. Bonding with the furry orphans is inevitable, but finding the resources and additional caring humans to alleviate their plight is more challenging. DCP digital. (BS)”
