Benny

Adoptable 1-year-old Benny – aka Ben-Ben or Bennyboo – is a young, playful, personable and affectionate boy. Although a very scared kitten when he was first rescued, Benny has come a long way and now follows his foster mom around for pets, loves to wake her up in the morning for cuddles by nuzzling her ear and neck and flopping down next to her for a good spoon, head kisses and a belly rub. He sometimes vies with his foster sibling Rogue for first cuddles.

Benny is a little mischievous, too – he loves to steal foster mom’s spot on the sofa or the bed when she gets up for even just a minute and then greets her by stretching out on his back and showing his belly. It never fails to earn him even more head kisses and belly rubs. Benny’s got these big golden eyes that he uses to try to hypnotize you into giving him treats.

Benny has done well with the resident cats, despite his high level of energy. He would do best with another young cat who loves to play. He loves to play with toys, and will keep himself occupied for hours doing that if his foster siblings are napping, but he really responds to feline company.

Benny doesn’t like to be picked up, but he loves all other sorts of affection and attention. Benny is still very shy when it comes to people he does not know; he doesn’t greet guests in his foster mom’s home yet. So he will need some time to adjust to a new environment and new people: a friendly resident cat, a patient adopter, and a quiet home would bring out happy-go-lucky love bug that is Benny.

Octavia

Adoptable Octavia is a very sweet cat. She’s a big fan of lap sitting and snuggles and likes to be close to people. She will absolutely stand in front of the computer until she gets her pets. She is on the younger side of senior, probably around 8 years old. She does not like being picked up at all. And she tends to move around slowly and carefully. She needs a step stool to get up on the bed and sometimes requires a little extra encouragement to jump up on a chair, but it’s best to let her do it at her own pace because a boost is not appreciated. Otherwise she’s very chill. Wouldn’t hurt a fly.
