Ollie

Adoptable Ollie is absolutely adorable! He is very lively and has a lot of energy. He loves to play, particularly with wand toys. He also enjoys being held and sitting on my lap while I work. He is not shy at all and instantly let me hold him. He is not a cat that is going to hide from anyone. He also gets on well with other cats. He’s about 1.5 years old.

He loves exploring nooks and crannies in our apartment, hiding under furniture with just his head sticking out, and watching TV with us, especially Youtube videos of birds but also just normal human TV. Here’s a picture of him sleeping in what is apparently a comfortable position.

Ollie has a condition called cerebellar hyperplasia, otherwise known as wobbly cat syndrome. This just means that his motor skills are a little off, so he wobbles a bit when he walks. It will never improve but it will also not get worse. That said, it does not stop him from doing everything he wants except maybe jumping. So, he will never be able to jump on the couch, bed or counter. He will, however, easily be able to jump down from a bed or couch. He moves around like any other cat and can also be very fast! He can even climb up and down stairs but I wouldn’t recommend a house with large staircases (like mine) that are hardwood. Small staircases (up to 6 stairs) should be fine and any stairs that have rugs or carpet should also be fine. With walking, he does best on rugs or carpet but can still get around okay without them. He is a very determined little guy.

He loves to eat anything you give him, and has perfect litter box habits. Ollie is a wonderful cat and any adopter would absolutely be lucky to have him!
